Centre Officially Appoints Six Advocates as Judges of Kerala High Court
The Central government has formally declared the selection of six advocates to act as supplementary judges of the Kerala High Court. This noteworthy development was disclosed on Thursday via an announcement from the Ministry of Law and Justice.
According to the notification released by the Ministry of Law and Justice, the appointed judges in order of seniority are as follows:
- Mullappally Abdul Aziz Abdul Hakhim
- Syam Kumar Vadakke Mudavakkat
- Harisankar Vijayan Menon
- Manu Sreedharan Nair
- Easwaran Subramani
- Manoj Pulamby Madhavan
They have been appointed as additional judges of the High Court for a period of two years from the date they assume their respective offices. Before these appointments, the Kerala High Court was functioning with 35 judges, which fell short of its complete sanctioned strength of 42. Following the addition of these six new judges, the High Court will nearly achieve its full capacity, with only one vacancy left.
